San Angelo New Folk Concert Series:

The San Angelo New Folk Series is moving into its 4th year now. The series was born after a successful album release made me aware of just how many “San Angeloans” would appreciate and regularly attend a large-scale house concert type event. Our audience is growing and enthusiastic averaging well over 100 per show. I have been overwhelmed by booking requests from the nation’s best talent as our “buzz” has grown. I am looking forward to hosting as many as possible.

The latest news on this series is that I have decided to move to a new venue. Though Fort Concho has been a great host to us, I believe our new location will offer greater acoustic quality and comfort to the audience. Historic Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Downtown San Angelo will be our new home. They have a newly constructed “Great Room” with padded chairs as well as a baby grand piano. While moderate, respectful alcohol consumption will still be allowed it will be on a BYOB basis. We will provide coffee, water, and an increased dessert type food selection. The door charge will remain at $15 for now. I will continue to book Friday nights 7-9 pm with doors open at 6:30. I will try to have all of the 2008 dates on the calendar as quickly as possible.

My personal goal is to host 6 shows per year from now on. I want to thank my San Angelo fan base for trusting me and supporting this series.
